This past Monday August 14th 2023 Limitless Church had the blessing to baptize 11 beautiful souls. It was an honor to be a part of this important decision made by these precious children of God. Baptisms at Limitless Church were amazing!

The bible tells us that The old man dies and the new man resurrected.

“Don’t let anyone capture you with empty philosophies and high-sounding nonsense that come from human thinking and from the spiritual powers of this world, rather than from Christ. For in Christ lives all the fullness of God in a human body. So you also are complete through your union with Christ, who is the head over every ruler and authority. When you came to Christ, you were “circumcised,” but not by a physical procedure. Christ performed a spiritual circumcision—the cutting away of your sinful nature. For you were buried with Christ when you were baptized. And with him you were raised to new life because you trusted the mighty power of God, who raised Christ from the dead. You were dead because of your sins and because your sinful nature was not yet cut away. Then God made you alive with Christ, for he forgave all our sins.” – Colossians‬ ‭2‬:‭8‬-‭13‬ ‭NLT‬‬

The baptism of Jesus.

Then Jesus went from Galilee to the Jordan River to be baptized by John. But John tried to talk him out of it. “I am the one who needs to be baptized by you,” he said, “so why are you coming to me?” But Jesus said, “It should be done, for we must carry out all that God requires.[a]” So John agreed to baptize him. After his baptism, as Jesus came up out of the water, the heavens were opened[b] and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and settling on him. And a voice from heaven said, “This is my dearly loved Son, who brings me great joy.” Mathew 3:13-17

Your Victory Is In Your Praise!

Many times when one goes through times of struggles, trials, or distress the immediate reaction can be to get discouraged, begin to speak negative, and sometimes even speak against God. You may ask yourself, “What Can I Do When Feeling Discouraged?”

In today’s message we will be looking at Paul and Sila’s great victory when they were placed in prison for preaching the gospel of Jesus. In the bible we will find this account in the book of Acts chapter 16 and verses16-40. (Acts 16:16-40)

This account in the bible tells us that Paul and Silas were put in the deepest part of the prison for setting free a slave girl that had a spirit by which she would tell the future. This slave girl followed Paul and the others, shouting, “These men are servants of the Most High God, who are telling you the way to be saved.” She kept this up for many days the bible tells us. Finally Paul became so annoyed that he turned around and said to the spirit, “In the name of Jesus Christ I command you to come out of her!” At that very moment the spirit left her. When her owners realized that their hope of making money was gone, they seized Paul and Silas and dragged them into the marketplace to face the authorities. They brought them before the magistrates and were accused of throwing the city into an uproar. The crowd joined in the attack against Paul and Silas, and the magistrates ordered them to be stripped and beaten with rods. After they had been severely flogged, they were thrown into prison, and a jailer was commanded to guard them carefully.

About the midnight hour Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them. Suddenly there was a violent earthquake that the foundations of the prison were shaken. At once all the prison doors flew open, and everyone’s chains came loose!! Do you notice what praying and singing hymns to God provoked?

The earth shook, the prison was shaken, the prison doors flew open, and the chains CAME LOOSE!!!

When put in that prison, Paul and Silas could have easily reacted in fear, disbelief, anger, discouragement and so many other ways. The enemy of our lives wants us to react in this way. The devil knows that if we respond in this form we are defeated. In reality, their prayers and worship to the Lord caused confusion in the camp of the wicked. We see the outcome of their prayers and worship. Paul and Silas were set free, the jailer and his home received salvation and the infilling of the Holy Spirit. Even more, when released from prison later that day Paul and Silas go to Lydia’s home and encourage them.

Who Are You Trusting? https://limitlessministries.net/2021/06/26/who-are-you-trusting/ Sun, 27 Jun 2021 01:36:46 +0000 https://limitlessministries.net/?p=265 The post Who Are You Trusting? appeared first on Limitless Ministries.

The bible tells us in the book of Proverbs 3:5-6  to Trust in the Lord with all our heart and lean not on our own understanding. Proverbs goes on to say that in all your ways  to submit to God, and He will make our paths straight.

Who are you trusting?

Living in the world that we live in it is possible to place our trust and hope on things from this world. It may be even possible that we place our trust on people or things before God. Perhaps even trusting in our own knowledge or strength. God is telling us in this verse to trust on Him completely and not to lean on our own understanding. Gods word is far more superior than any thought, any strength, or anything at all. I encourage you today to TRUST completely on God and not on anything or anyone else.

Jeremiah‬ ‭29:11‬ tells us that God knows the plans that He has for us. He speaks to us by saying to us that he has plans to prosper us and not to harm ‭‬‬us. God completes this verse by promising good plans to give us hope and a good future.

I’m reminded when Paul and Silas were put in the deepest part of the prison for setting free a young girl that told the future. Around the midnight hour Paul and Silas began to pray and sing hymns to God. All the prisoners were listening to them. Suddenly, there was a massive earthquake, and the prison was shaken to its foundations. All the doors immediately flew open, and the chains of every prisoner fell off!

When put in that prison, Paul and Silas could have easily reacted in fear, disbelief, anger, discouragement and so many other ways but instead they began to sing hymns and pray. Their prayers and worship to our Lord caused that place to shake and break open. There was even salvation of a prison guard and his family that day.

We can see that our brothers Paul and Silas trusted in the Lord with all their heart and did not lean on their own understanding. Another outcome would have taken place have they not trusted wholeheartedly on God.

Our Lord promises us in Jeremiah‬ ‭17:7-8‬ ‭that blessed is the one who trusts in Him. Blessed is the one whose confidence is in Him. He compares us to be like a tree that is planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. That tree does not fear when heat comes. The leaves of that tree are always green. That tree has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit. We can clearly see that by trusting in God we have nothing to worry about, neither today or in the future, for He is always in complete control.

Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God. – Psalms 20:7
